FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before switching to solar with Sameva.

Sameva designs and installs solar systems for homes, MSMEs, industries, and institutions. As a certified vendor under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna, we're driving the shift toward rooftop and ground-mounted solar across the regions we serve — helping households and businesses cut their electricity bills while reducing their carbon footprint.
A solar rooftop system is a combination of components that convert sunlight into usable electricity:
  • Solar panels with PV cells
  • Solar inverter
  • Mounting structures
  • AC and DC cables
  • AC and DC combiner boxes
  • Earthing cables and MC4 connectors
Sunlight hitting the PV cells in a solar panel is converted into DC electricity through the photovoltaic effect. An inverter converts this into usable AC power, which is fed into a bidirectional meter. Excess power is exported to the grid, and power is imported from the grid whenever your system doesn't generate enough to cover your usage.
If rising electricity bills are a concern, solar is one of the most reliable ways to bring them down. It also reduces your dependency on the grid and lowers your carbon footprint over the 25+ year life of the system.
Yes. Electricity from a solar system is no different from what you get through your regular electricity connection — the only difference is the source. It's also one of the cleanest ways to generate power, with no toxic emissions during production.
Most homes and businesses see a significant drop in their electricity bill from the day the system goes live, and savings tend to grow further as grid tariffs rise over time. Placeholder — replace with Sameva's actual average savings % once confirmed by client
We handle the entire journey for you — site survey, system design, subsidy paperwork, installation, and after-sales monitoring. You can also choose how you want to pay: own your system outright with CAPEX, or go with zero upfront investment through our OPEX/RESCO model.
Not necessarily. Under our OPEX/RESCO model, Sameva owns and maintains the system while you simply pay for the power you use — no upfront investment required. If you'd rather own your system outright, our CAPEX model with government subsidy support brings your upfront cost down significantly.
We handle the entire process on your behalf, from application to disbursement, so you don't have to navigate the paperwork yourself.
Once your site survey is complete and your design is approved, installation timelines depend on system size and site conditions. Placeholder — confirm Sameva's typical installation timeline with client
A high-quality rooftop solar system typically lasts 25 years or more, continuing to generate clean power for decades with regular maintenance and performance checks.
Commercial entities generally aren't eligible for subsidies, but residential rooftop solar projects are supported under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna. Sameva assists with the entire application process, from filing to disbursement.

Yes. Solar panels continue generating electricity in cloudy or rainy weather, though at reduced efficiency. This is factored into the unit generation estimates provided for every project.
